(Grand Forks, ND) – On April 17, The Grand Forks Parks and Recreation Foundation was the proud recipient of the charitable donation amount of $2,020 raised by the employees of Retrax, the manufacturer of Retrax Truck Bed Covers, in Grand forks. Earlier in April, the employees had a “Pie in the Face” fundraiser to raise money for the Grand Forks Parks and Recreations Foundation’s “Scholarships for Local Kids” program. The employees voted to select the Grand Forks Parks and Recreation Foundation as the recipient of its contest dollars because of their focus on local children’s activities. “Our employees wanted to raise dollars to go towards a Recreational program for kids, and the Grand Forks Parks and Recreation Foundation met our criteria to give as many kids as possible the opportunity to play this summer,” stated Larissa Campbell, Retrax Human Resources Specialist. Parks and Recreation Foundation Development Officer Gary Harris, Jr. estimates that approximately 115 kids will benefit from scholarship money received from Retrax employees. Scholarships provided are based solely on family need.
