Essential Job Training Functions:

  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment; address any unsafe conditions or behaviors with a supervisor
  • Accurately use basic measuring devices
  • Follow established work instructions to properly assemble products and/or different parts of products
  • Achieve established goals or deadlines set for specific work areas
  • Operate required equipment per safety guidelines, upon proper certification
  • Move pieces or product to the next phase of the manufacturing process; maintaining safety and quality expectations
  • Ensure materials meet established quality standards
  • Complete all required paperwork and/or data entry in a timely manner
  • Utilize Lean manufacturing tools to deliver results
  • Organize materials at work station and department according to 6S standards
  • Ensure production parts, tools, and equipment are properly stored and maintained
  • Perform other related and non-related duties as assigned through on-the-job training

Education/Knowledge/Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum of three months of previous manufacturing, production, or assembly experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent lifting of 50 pounds or less, occasional lifting of 51 pounds or more
  • Standing throughout the duration of shift, daily
  • Repetitive use of hands and/or fingers; able to reach with hands and arms; and use of vision
