Essential Job Training Functions:

  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment; address any unsafe conditions or behaviors with a supervisor
  • Follow established work instructions to properly prepare final product for shipment
  • Load, unload, and stack products and/or materials
  • Ensure product is accurately pulled and labeled for shipment
  • Achieve established goals or deadlines set for the department
  • Complete all required shipping documents, department paperwork, and/or data entry in a timely manner
  • Utilize Lean manufacturing tools to deliver results
  • Organize materials at work station and department according to 6S standards
  • Operate required equipment per safety guidelines, upon proper certification
  • Perform other related and non-related duties as assigned through on-the-job training


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum of three months of previous shipping and/or receiving experience
  • Previous forklift experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Constant lifting of 100 pounds or less, constant lifting of 101 pounds or more
  • Standing, walking, and sitting frequently throughout the duration of shift, daily
  • Repetitive use of hands and/or fingers; able to reach with hands and arms; and use of vision
