Quality Assurance Technician

Essential Job Training Functions:

  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment; correct any unsafe conditions or behaviors with a supervisor
  • Aid in the report out quality assurance metrics to gauge progress on internal and/or external issues
  • Propose product or process improvements that will minimize quality defects, both internal and external
  • Conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure compliance to work instructions and controlled drawings
  • Provide support and documentation required to maintain ISO certification; authority to disposition production material
  • Utilize Lean principles to establish quality assurance processes
  • Ensure engineering specifications are understood by operators and properly applied in the assembly process
  • Interface with shop floor personnel to teach and train quality or other product issues encountered
  • Inspire, motivate, and lead other in utilizing Lean manufacturing tools to deliver results
  • Organize materials at work station and department according to 6S standards
  • Perform other related and non-related duties as assigned through on-the-job training


  • Associate's degree in a manufacturing/quality related field
  • Two or more years of quality assurance experience
  • Lean and ISO experience
  • Software experience: Microsoft Office Suite, ERP Software

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional lifting of 50 pounds or less, occasional lifting of 51 pounds or more
  • Standing, walking, and sitting frequently throughout the duration of shift, daily
  • Repetitive use of hands and/or fingers; able to reach with hands and arms; and use of vision
